 ABOUT US... Tater Grip was founded in 2009 by Global Tour Golf located in San Diego, California. Global Tour Golf is one of the world’s largest golf grip distribution companies. Craig Pollard, owner of Global Tour Golf, had purchased a very expensive baseball bat for his son and noticed that his wrap style grip had worn out in just a few weeks and was beginning to peel off the bat. Craig wondered if there was a way to make a quality performance bat grip similar to his companiy’s golf grips. The answer was yes by utilizing a patented process combined with a proprietary rubber compound that allows the rubber to expand and then shrink over the bat handle. After testing the first prototypes on his son’s bats in 2009 he knew he had a winner. Within weeks of showing the prototypes to Adrian Gonzalez, he used them in a game, got a hit in his first at bat, and has endorsed the product ever since. Since those early days of 2009 Tater Grip has developed several new models and now multiple MLB, Collegiate, and thousands of amateur players are using Tater Grip. Tater Grip offers two styles of patented bat grips. The Clear grip allows the player to design his/her own grip for maximum eye appeal and performance. The solid rubber grip is available in Black and will soon be available in Red, Navy Blue, and Pink. The solid rubber grip is a proprietary blend of high quality rubber that offers superior performance and more vibration dampening qualities than any baseball bat grip on the market. In addition the solid rubber grips have a higher concentration of moisture wicking properties as well as OV and UV protection.
